New Challenge at Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog

Good morning Friends! Today starts are new challenge at Scribble & Scrap Challenge blog.  Today I made a card using products almost all entirely from the Scribble & Scrap Shop.  Lexie has some of the most beautiful digital papers available here.  My image is called Vintage Beauty.  She is really a pretty image to color up.  I colored her using my Spectrum Noir pens and cut her out using a Spellbinders Die.  The pattern paper is called Grungy Florals - Pastels and then I used card stock to mat everything.  The ribbon and pearls are from my stash.  I had thought I would put some flowers on here but once I added the bow I decided that I liked her just the way she was.  I really wanted to show off that beautiful paper!
Here is a close up of this beautiful image:

New Challenge At Crafting When We Can

Good Morning Friends!  It is time once again for a new challenge at Crafting When We Can!  This week our wonderful sponsor (The Stamping Chef) gave me this great image called Dolly Birthday to play with and inspire you (Thanks so much!!)  I colored her with Spectrum Noir pens and cut her out using a Spellbinders Die.  This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge. So following the sketch I created this card:
I made the balloons come out of the circle to fit and then added card stock to mat the image.  The panels are card stock and embossed with Sizzix embossing folders.  The pattern paper is from The Paper Studio and the ribbon and pearls  are from my stash.
Here is a close up of the adorable image:

Crafting At The Weekend's 1st Challenge!!

Good morning Friends!  I am excited to announce the start of a brand new challenge blog: Crafting At The Weekend.  We will be a monthly challenge with a theme of Anything Goes.  You can make anything crafty you would like for this one so I though I would show another side of my craftiness.  I love to make signs and use quotes I find here and there. This one was made for a friend's granddaughter for her 15th birthday.  Something uplifting and inspiring.  We found this quote on Pinterest and I just fell in love with it!  The sign is actually an 11x14 piece of painters canvas.  I painted it using acrylic paints and then cut out the quote using my Cricut and vinyl.  After putting the vinyl on I used Modge Podge to seal the entire thing.  Super easy!!!

It is hard to get a good picture with the glossy finish...

So be sure to stop by Crafting At The Weekend and enter your project this month.  You can always enter a card or any other craft project you wish.  So, let's get crafty and see what you come up with!  I look forward to seeing your work!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you soon!

Garden Flowers Birthday

Good Morning Friends! It is time once again to show you some inspiration using one of the Crafty Sentiments Designs awesome stamps!  I just love this darling little girl.  She is called Garden Flowers and you can find her here.

I have colored her with Prisma Color Pencils and cut her out using a Spellbinders Die.  I kept her pretty simple by just adding a square of pattern paper, some ribbon and a flower from my stash.  The sentiment was hand cut.

Here is a close up of this darling little girl:

I hope I was able to provide a little inspiration for you today.  These stamps are just so easy and fun to work with!

Embossing and a CASE at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning Friends! Today starts are new challenge at  4 Crafty Chicks.  This week our hostess is the super talented and crafty Lori!  Lori has issued a challenge to us to use Embossing.  Since I love all of her beautiful embossed cards I have decided to CASE her this week!  I know my card is not near as clean and classy as her creations but I just had to give it a go.  I have used a Gus image from Bugaboo called Gus Birthday Recount.  My husband just had a birthday and this was his card.  I colored Gus with my Spectrum Noir Pens and did a simple rectangle cut.  The embossed piece is card stock cut at a diagnol and embossed using a Cuttlebug folder. The other peice is cut the same as the red only I did not emboss it.  The sentiment came with the image and then I added some flat pearls for a little bit of pop. Some bakers twine from my stash finished it off.

Here is a close up of this great image:
And...Here is the card I CASED from Lori:

How did I do?  Am I even close???  I love Lori's use of color here and the green and blue is one of my favorite combos! I have just got to get me that embossing folder!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you again soon!

New Challenge at 4Crafty Chicks!

Good morning Friends!  It is hard to believe that we are half way through April already!  Time sure goes by fast when life is crazy!  We are getting ready for Easter in our house, cooking, cleaning and getting ready for a big family dinner on Sunday after church. But, on a good note this is my Friday so a long weekend is in store!  Hopefully I will have some time to spend in my craft room!

So, on to the new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks:
The Chicks have been busy in the hen house getting our inspiration ready for a new challenge: Use a Sentiment only.  That's right - No images this time! That is quite a challenge for me as I almost ALWAYS put an image on the front of my cards.  So a clean and simple card was in order:

I simply matted some layers of card stock and a strip of pattern paper on my base and added a banner with "Happy Birthday" on it.  I still thought it needed something so I went with this gorgeous butterfly sticker I picked up at Walmart of all places!

So, be sure to hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and show us what you can do with a Sentiment Only this week! And, while you are out and about be sure to visit the rest of the design team's blogs and leave them some love.  They sure do some beautiful work!
