A Fond Farewell to Crafting From The Heart

Good morning Friends! Today I am sad to say this will be my last challenge with  Crafting From The Heart.  It's tough to leave such a wonderful group of ladies and I am going to miss them but life and health are telling me to slow down.  I wish Fiona and Erin all the best with the challenge blog and I will be lurking around and maybe even rejoin them one day.

For my final card I decided on a clean and simple one.  This image is from QRK.  I colored him with my Spectrum Noir pens and matted it with some scrap card stock.  Some other scraps from my bin and this CAS card was finished.

Here is a close up of the great image:

Hey You!

Good morning Friends!  Just a quick hello today as we are headed away for the weekend and my son's first Pro Bowling Tournament!

Today I want to share with you a quick and easy note card I made using Crafty Sentiments stamp "Hey You".  I positioned her on my paper to be in the bottom corner and added the sentiment with my computer.  I colored her with my Spectrum Noir pens and Prisma Color Pencils and matted her onto a 6 x 5 note card.    Pretty quick and easy!

Here is a close up of this adorable stamp:

I don't do a lot of CAS cards but really like this one!  I think I may just be doing a few more of these in the future!

Seeing Stripes

Good morning Friends! Today starts are new challenge at  4 Crafty Chicks.  This week Lori is our "Hostess with the Mostest" and she is looking for our STRIPES.  For this  challenge I did something a little different for me - NO IMAGE!  I created this card for our daughter's college graduation and when it was finished realized it was perfect for Lori's challenge.  Some pattern paper, a couple of die cut stars popped up with some pop dots, some ribbon and enamel dots from my stash made this a quick and easy card.  The sentiment is an old clings stamp I have had forever.

Here is a close up of the dies cut stars:

And the home made enamel dots. (I love these!)

Quick and simple! So, I hope you will come play along with us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week for our STRIPES challenge.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Oh Boy, It's a Boy!

Good morning Friends! Today starts are new challenge at  4 Crafty Chicks.  This week I get to play hostess with the mostest!  I decided to issue the challenge to make a baby card.  I have had this image in my files for quite a while but had not had the chance to color it using my Spectrum Noir pens and thought it would be great for this challenge.  I love making baby cards but always seem to put a lot of frills and flowers on them.  This will be perfect for a new baby boy.  The image comes from Whimsy Stamps and the sentiment is from the Scribble & Scrap Shop.

Here is a close up of this beautiful image:

It's a little harder for me to get the detail in this one with my pens compared to my pencils but am really pleased with the way it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see you again soon!

Vintage Inspiration for Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog

Good morning Friends! Today starts are new challenge at  Scribble & Scrap Challenge Blog.  I am sad to say this will be my last challenge with Lexie and the other girls for awhile.  I need to take some time to devote to my health so have had to make the decision to cut back a little.  It has been great working with these wonderful, talented ladies and I will miss them dearly!  So I say a fond farewell to Lexie and the rest of the girls.  Best of luck to you all!  I will still be lurking around now and then to see how things are going and of course to check out all of the beautiful work!

I decided to make a vintage inspired card (my first) using Lexie's beautiful vintage photo toppers and the Hot Stuff Paper pack.  You can find all of her wonderful products here.
Some grey card stock, pearls, a doily, flowers and lace from my stash gave it just the right feel.  The bows were cut using a MFT die.

Here are a couple of  close ups of this
beautiful image and paper:

I really enjoyed using a topper for a change.  It really made quick work of this easel card!

Use your Leftovers at Crafting When We Can

Good morning Friends! Today starts are new challenge at  Crafting When We Can.  I am sad to say this will be my last challenge with this brilliant team.  It is so hard to make these decisions but feel I really need to devote more time to my health right now.
We were issued the challenge to use leftovers for this challenge and I have a large bin of scraps that were perfect!  This week we are sponsored by the wonderful Sassy Studios.  They were kind enough to give us a couple of images to play with.  For my card I chose to use Disney Fan and colored her with my Spectrum Noir pens.  I kept the design CAS to be able to give this card to a friend of mine that loves Disney.

Christmas at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning Friends! Today starts are new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks!  This week the very talented Leanne is   our hostess and she is asking us to make a Christmas Card.  When I was at the CK Convention a few weeks ago I picked up this beautiful Poinsettia stamp and here is what I did with it:
I began by stamping my poinsettia 4 times.  I cut each layer by hand and then colored them up using Spectrum Noir pens.  After coloring I added some glitter to make it sparkle.  A gem in the center finished it off.  The paper is from The Paper Studio and the lace and tag are from my stash.  The outside sentiment is from an old set I have had forever.

The inside of my card was completed using scraps from the front.  You can't see it in the photo but I stamped the poinsettia in a light sage ink behind the verse.

Here is a close up of this beautiful image:

So what are you waiting for?  Hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks to see the beautiful creations the rest of the design team has to show.  While you are there leave them some love.  They do amazing work!
